[My Account] How do I change my mobile phone number?

You can change your mobile phone number on the Shopee app by following the steps below:

Step 1: Go to the Me tab
Step 2: Select the Settings ⚙️ icon
Step 3: Click on Account & Security
Step 4: Select Phone
Step 5: Enter your New Phone Number
Step 6: Click on Next
Step 7: Select Verification Method (Whatsapp, SMS or Call)
Step 8: Enter the Verification Code sent to your new or updated phone number
Step 9: Click on Next

 

If you’re unable to change your number in the app, please fill out our Change Mobile Phone Number Application. Here are some reasons you might need to change your number:

New phone number already registered 

Your number may have been recycled by your service provider.

Unable to complete verification 

Your current number may be inactive or unable to receive verification codes.

Lost mobile phone

You’ve lost access to your phone and need to update your number.

Old email no longer in use/lost

You’ve lost access to your phone number and are unable to use your old email to retrieve the verification code.

Old number no longer in use/lost

Your old number is no longer active.

 
After submitting the form, our customer service team will contact you. Please have the following ready for quicker processing:
 
  • Your old and new phone numbers
  • Proof of ownership for the new number, such as:
  • A screenshot from your service provider's app or a clear photo of your phone bill showing your name and number
  • For prepaid numbers, an e-statement or documentation from your mobile provider
 
Reasons you are unable to change your mobile phone number?
 
  • Existing Account - You might already have another Shopee account registered with the same phone number. Attempt to recall the password and log in to the other account. Learn how to reset your previous Shopee account's password If you have forgotten your password. 
 
  • Recycled Phone Number - Phone numbers can be recycled by service providers, which means your number may have belonged to someone else previously. It's important to note that the previous owner doesn't have access to your Shopee account.
 
  • Account under suspension - If you've received a notice about your account being suspended, please refer to our Help Center Article - Why is my account being limited? for more details on why your account has been restricted.
